How do you decide on a babies name?

We based some of ours off of past family names, and another we chose because it was something different that Bob,Bill, Sue, Kelly, Mary, or Jill. No offense anyone, it seems like there are plenty of us out there. You have to give nicknames, or use last names at work, because we have about 4 Eddies, 3 Teds, and a couple of Steves. LOL

How do you decide on a babies name?
Think about Familys names or Names in the bible or something
Reply:Basically it will come to you when you find the right one, you'll just know. Once you think you have it , you make sure that its not something the child will get made fun of for and then you make sure there is no one by that name that you have disliked or has made you mad etc.
Reply:It took forever for us to decide on both of our babies names, but when the right one came it just plain felt right.

Reply:Names that sound good to you. They possibly have sentimental value (grandma, aunt, pastor, person who saved your life), or they may not. Some go for names from whatever culture thier heritage is. ie, my best friends kids all have Celtic names. Mostly, just chose something that you like, good luck.

Step Two: think what you want your baby to be when he\she grows up


step three: think of a name that sounds good and suits the baby.
Reply:You should name it after 2 people and combine the names
