So someone please HELP!!!

How should i spell my babies name and is Ceola a ugly name?
I think a good compromise would be to name her Kassiah Alay-Ceola.

We had 2 middle names selected if we were having a girl (ended up having a boy)

I dont think it is ugly, it is a nice way to honor his grandmother
Reply:is that suppose to be like kasey? then you should spell it kaysea. its cooler. and yes its an ugly name. dont do that to her, please.
Reply:I don't think "Ceola" is a really ugly name. I wouldn't choose it, but I wouldn't have chosen Kassiah Alay (or Kassiyah Uhlay), either.

Ceola is definately not worse than Uhlay. If you go with yours, use the first spelling.

What you could do, instead of letting your daughter know that you dont' like her middle name, is to help her to feel a kind of bond with her great-grandmother, even if she's dead, by showing her pictures, telling her stories, etc. This could actually help her see that her middle name was chosen for a reason and that it has meaning.

It's your husband's daughter, too, so you shouldn't hold on so tight to the name-giving job without considering some compromise. With my children, my husband chose my first son's first name and I chose the middle, then we did the same thing with the second, but my second goes by his middle name. He got one and I got one. If you follow that logic, you could end up having a second child who goes by the name Ceola. :-)
