If my wife has a baby today, do they need the name right then right now on the form? What is the process in Arizona?

When is the due date to file babies name on Birth certificate in Arizona? If my wife has a baby today, is the?
i had a baby in PA and in TX and both places i had to fill out the paperwork before i left the hospital. in PA i spent 3 days there and filled it out on the last day and in TX i spent 2 days and filled it out 2nd day not sure if arizona is the same but...you really should try to do it before you leave the hospital.
Reply:You knew for months and months that you were having a baby and hadn't thought of a name? I wonder about people like that.

My suggestion is to ask the hospital how much time you have to decide on a name before they file the certificate. At my hospital, they file them after 10 days to allow for paternity tests and affidavits of paternity so that the guy can be put on the certificate. After that, the certificate is listed with whatever information is available and it will say "Baby Boy" or "Baby Girl" as a first name. Usually you have to pay a change fee to correct this.
Reply:you dont need it the day you have the baby but when you leave the hospital they will ask for it because you have to sign the birthcertificate and then they have to send it in...Im from arizona too what part are you from and what hospital email me and maybe i can help out a little more
Reply:Well I had my daughter 3mos ago and they were quitr pushy about the name cause we were still discussing spellings! I had her at Chandler Regional. Why don't you ask them at the hospital. You need the name on the initial paper but I am sure it can be changed before you get the actual certificate.
Reply:you dont have to name the baby until you file for a SS#, it should be soon but if not you dont need it until you claim you baby on taxes.
Reply:I beleive you have untill the day you are dismissed. Get Cracking on those baby names!!!
