I need to include my mom in my babies name, but I hate her name?

If anyone can think of how to mix, or include Nancy Celestine that would be great. It would be a middle name and I am leaning toward Ella for the first name.

Any other suggestions for middle names for a boy or girl would be great. It will be Logan if it is a boy. I don't like boring names like Michael, David, James, but I also don't like unique names either. Something strong, not used all the time, but you can still find it on a toothbrush! (I picked Ella before I knew it was one of the top names this year!!!! That is why I am not so sure about it anymore!)

Thanks

I need to include my mom in my babies name, but I hate her name?
How funny is that? I was thinking the same thing, and my mom's name is Nancy, lol... but in any case, why not just use Celeste? That's such a beautiful name, it's a part of the name, you know? I think she would like it if you told her that you wanted to use part of her name in it and you chose to do Celeste or something like it in her honor... :)
Reply:Why do you "need" to use your mom's name? And couldn't you do Ella Celeste? You don't have to use her entire name.

And name your kids what you want and not what strangers recommend. Use your ancestor's names. What's wrong with Logan for a girl? I know several and they are beautiful, popular and athletic.
Reply:I like Ella Celestine.
Reply:How about Ella Nanette? I really like the name Logan. I'm not sure about a middle name though.
Reply:If Ella and Emma are to popular for you, try Enna. Or Effa. Or maybe Arra? Essa?

Good luck!
Reply:Ella Celeste sounds nice
Reply:Family names can be tricky, but you have to use what you like. Play with the letters and see whay names come out of that. I didn't want to name my son Michael, (like his dad, uncle, and great uncle) so I decided to use Ross as his middle name which is also the middle name of the others, and my grandfather's first name. Using the family name in the middle is acceptable and diplomatic. Just remember no matter what name you pick there will always be someone with an opinion different from yours. This is your baby use your favorite name and once it is on paper and legal, no one can fuss.
Reply:I don't see any reason you have to use your mothers name.

Your choice for the other name is one I would not like.
Reply:You're probably biased against it because you've heard it all your life, but I think Celestine is a pretty and unusual name,I really don't care for Ella at all,but Ella Celestine has a nice flow to it.
Reply:I agree with Kmunis , i believe that Celeste is an absolutely beautiful name!!
Reply:How about Nanette instead of Nancy? More cosmopolitian and less 1960ish. Or a deviation of Celestine could be Celestina, Celeste, or eve Collette) but I'd use just one of these names, not both.

Ella Nanette

Ella Collette

Ella Celestina
Reply:I think the middle name should be brad.Brad is not popular but its not that unique.
Reply:I like Ella Celestine. Also, if you want to make Ella more unique, have her full name be Eleanor and call her Ella for short.
Reply:Ella Celeste (popular french name) would be nice, it's a bit like Celestine. I would leave Nancy out of it though! Would one name incorporated not be enough?
Reply:Evie Nanstine
Reply:ella celestine sound good, for middle names for boys how about Seth, Ian, Preston, Normand, Bryce
Reply:Why exactly do you have to include her name? Its your choice...so go with what you seem is right in your heart. But if you did want to include her name within a girls name it should be Celeste. I cant really think of anything for a boys name.
Reply:WHy do you have to include your moms name???

Just don't.......Do what makes YOU HAPPY
Reply:Ella Celeste

Logan Lester
Reply:My mother's name was Deloris June and I did not like that name for my daughter, so I took the "lori" from Deloris and combined it with my mother-in-law's name (Ann) to create Lorianne Grace, which I love. Perhaps you can do the same with your mother/mother-in-law names to create something you like with Ella. The previous suggestion for Nanstine was different. What about Nelle, Nella, Nanelle or Nanella?

Logan (Logen, Logann, Logann or Loganne) would be cool fine for a girl's name too by the way...just in case you both like that one. Most of all, do what you want to do because you will be the one yelling it out for the next 50 years! lol

p.s. I am thinking of Jameson Drew for a boy's name if I have a son (picked from using my dad and my father-in-law's names: James Edward and Howard Andrew), you mentioned James in your post so perhaps this would work for you as well?
Reply:Well when i gave birth to my daughter in 05, I was so dosed up on morphine after a crash c-section that i almost named her Ruby Linda ( Linda is my mum's name). Luckily i finally plucked up the courage later to tell her i had changed it to Ruby-Mae and no offense to her. What about Eliza celeste if you want to include your mother's name. Once you find a name suitable it WILL stick with you anyway so don't worry!
Reply:ella celeste maybe
Reply:How about Cellan? (Pronounced 'Sellan')

I'm not a big believer in traditions about names. A friend of mine...in his family the 1st born son has been named George for centuries. He got saddled with it....and REFUSED to do it to his son. Thus the tradition was broken....to everybody's relief.

Reply:Its simple. Just put "Ma" in your childs name. That way you can always think of your ma.

e.g. Ellama
Reply:female: Sophia / Maxene / Jullianne..

male: Gabe / Victor / Hunter / Derek / Diether(pronounced like deether) / Brandon / Shaun / Craig
Reply:Ella Celeste does sound nice. Otherwise those are really hard names to put together.
