The correct terms are ultrasound technologist (not technician, although I hear those not in the field refer to us as that), ultrasonographer or sonographer.
Many of us are also radiologic technologists (technician is an older and inaccurate term), but that is a totally separate licence we hold. These licenses are totally different and separate.
What is the actual name of the person who does ultrasound of the babies in the womb?
they are the ultrasound technologist not an xray tech...you can't have xrays when your pregnant......
