It varies from county to state, but where Im at in WA state it costs about $100-150. You can do a whole or partial name change at the same time for the same price.





Some states allow you to change the last name without fee $ if it is the same as the mother's maiden name or something. Like in WA state, i can technically use my maiden name as my kids last name anywhere I want, despite their bio dads being on the birth certificate.
